Protect Yourself Against Fraud and Scams

At Public Service Credit Union, we are committed to your financial security. Unfortunately, fraudsters and scammers are becoming increasingly sophisticated in their attempts to deceive individuals. It's crucial to stay informed and vigilant to safeguard your accounts and personal information.

To ensure that you're equipped to protect yourself against these threats, we want to share some essential tips:

Be Vigilant: Always verify the legitimacy of any communication requesting personal or financial information. If you receive an unexpected call, email, or message claiming to be from Public Service Credit Union, or another trusted entity, independently verify the request through official channels before providing any information. We will never call asking for your online/mobile banking credentials or any other personal information.

Secure Your Passwords: Use strong, unique passwords for your online accounts and regularly update them. Avoid using easily guessable information such as birthdays or common phrases. Consider using a reputable password manager to securely store and manage your passwords.

Stay Informed: Stay informed about common fraud schemes and scams. Familiarize yourself with the latest tactics used by fraudsters and learn how to recognize and avoid them. Share this knowledge with your family and friends to help protect them as well.

If you suspect fraudulent activity on your account or if you've inadvertently shared sensitive information, please don't hesitate to contact us immediately at 734-641-8400. Our dedicated team is here to assist you and can take steps to help protect your account.
