You can do practically everything online today: order food, buy your holiday gifts, apply for a car loan, research GAP coverage, and even apply for a mortgage. There are still some things you need to do in person, but you can open a checking account online when you bank with Public Service Credit Union. While PSCU had locations all over Michigan so Romulus and Detroit residents can easily visit a branch near them, we also make it easy to join by allowing you to join our credit union online or open an additional account online.
Steps to Open a Checking Account Online
If you already have an account with us, opening up a checking account is as simple as filling out a brief form online and identifying how much money you want to move from one of your other accounts to the new checking account.
If you are not yet a member of Public Service Credit Union, joining is simple. Just verify that you’re eligible to be a member and be prepared to make an initial $25 deposit through a secure debit or credit card transaction. You will also need to provide the following information:
- Date of Birth
- Social Security Number
- Social Security Number for any beneficiaries
- Residential Address
All of this is done through secure SSL encryption so you can have peace of mind as you create your credit union account and move beyond the predatory practices of traditional banks.
