It's Time to Apply for a 2018 PSCU Scholarship! 

Public Service Credit Union is proud to be able to recognize up to 10 deserving individuals each year.  These recipients are chosen from existing members who show academic promise, community involvement and the PSCU mantra of “People Helping People”.  Five of the ten $1,000 checks awarded to the worthy students were in honor of long standing Board Members:  John E. Breen, Jonathan Gallimore, Bernard Hanus, Carol Palazzolo, and Nora Sharpley.

Below are the names of the students that received scholarships in 2017: 

  • Brooke Boardman from International Academy in the Bloomfield Hills School and a resident of Lathrup Village, she will be attending the University of Michigan. Brooke has received the Bernard Hanus Scholarship;
  • Brandon Charlton II, a resident of Romulus, graduated from Taylor Preparatory High School plans on attending Indiana Wesleyan, and is working to achieve his degree in Business Management;
  • D'Asia Daniels is from Detroit, currently attending Bowling Green State University, she is working to achieve her major in Applied Health Science. We are pleased to award Dasia the Nora Sharpley Scholarship;
  • Madison Davis of Grosse Ile, graduated from Grosse Ile High School, and is looking forward to pursuing her major in Business through Grand Valley State University;
  • Scott Georges of Grosse Ile, will be attending Harvard Business School, he intends to achieve his degree in Business Administration. Scott is awarded the John E. Breen Scholarship;
  • Kiara Johnson is from Southfield, attended Wylie E. Groves High School. She is currently is working to achieve her degree in Human Biology from Michigan State University;
  • Elyssa Moody from Trenton has graduated from Trenton High School.She is excited to start at the University of Michigan in the fall;
  • Tia Moody from Trenton High School and a resident of Trenton, will begin her pursuit in Pre-Psychology at the University of Michigan. Tia is awarded the Jonathan D. Gallimore Scholarship;
  • Benita Robinson is from Detroit, and currently attends Wayne State Universitystriving to her Masters in Social Work.Congratulations to Benita for receiving the Carol Palazzolo Scholarship; and
  • Isabella Wakeham is from Trenton and recently graduated from Trenton High School. She plans on attending Michigan Tech. University where she plans to pursue Material Science & Engineering.
